Why choose bamboo?
It is a renewable resource. Bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants, and can grow up to 1 inch every 40 minutes. It produces 35% more oxygen than trees. Every part of bamboo can be utilised and it doesn't require pesticides to grow.
With over 3 billion plastic toothbrushes thrown away each year, it is the obvious choice.
Our toothbrushes are made from a species of bamboo called 'Moso' bamboo. This is not the same species of bamboo that Pandas eat- they typically eat 'Arrow' bamboo. 'Moso' bamboo is highly renewable and fast growing.
How often do you change your toothbrush?
Dental experts recommend you change your toothbrush every 1-2 months, or before your bristles become frayed, or after you have been ill. This is because of the bacteria that grow in the bristles (Gross!)

What do the experts say?
Dr Alan Holland - The Bristol Specialist Dental Clinic
'' The regular brush has a satisfyingly comfortable feel in the hand, smooth and round but with a slight texture which prevents slipping even when wet. The harder bristled brush is ideal for secular brushing and the softer bristled brush is ideal for giving that final, smooth polished result normally reserved to the hygienist. I recommend using both brushes. Initially the harder brush for the secular technique and then the final vigorous scrub with the soft brush which leaves the gums feeling refreshed and the teeth smooth to the tongue. ''
